Work Experience
- Dr. Fathima has more than 11 years of experience in the field of Pulmonary Medicine dealing with different Pulmonary diseases including Asthma, COPD, Interstitial lung Diseases(ILD), Tuberculosis, Pleural diseases and Obesity related sleep disorders.
- Prior to joining Zulekha Hospital Dubai, Dr. Fathima was working as Pulmonologist at Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute, Chennai, India. She has worked at Government Hospital of Thoracic Medicine, Chennai, India for 7 years and has vast experience in the management of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases. She has experience in teaching and training post graduate students and received many honors.
- Dr Fathima has completed her graduation in 2006 from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu, India and earned her post-graduation in 2011 from Madras Medical College, Chennai, India.
- Dr. Fathima obtained her DNB from Yashoda Hospitals, Telangana, India that included training in Interventional Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. She also holds European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine.
- Member of Indian Chest Society, American Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society and American college of Chest Physicians.
