Zulekha Hospital has upgraded and expanded its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) from 16 to 19 beds, making it one of the largest level three NICU facilities in the UAE. It comprises 19 Neonatal Intensive Care beds, two isolation rooms and our specially designed breastfeeding cubicles with express in comfort.
We provide evaluation and management of children admitted to the hospital or in the outpatient department for a variety of acute and chronic conditions including the following:

Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Zulekha Hospital state-of-the-art paediatric intensive care unit houses 3 beds including Isolation room and provides specialized care around the clock to critically ill children. It serves paediatric patients suffering from life threatening conditions such as respiratory distress, seizures, coma, serious infections, asthma, pneumonia and accidental poisoning, as well as those who have undergone complex paediatric surgical procedures.
The unit employs the latest technology such as pulse oximetry, end tidal CO2 monitors with invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, non-invasive ventilation. The PICU is staffed by an internationally trained team of paediatric intensivist hospitalists, paediatric subspecialists such as a paediatric cardiologist, paediatric infectious disease specialist and paediatric intensive care nurses.
Paediatric Surgery
Paediatric surgery is a subspecialty of surgery involving surgery of foetuses, infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
Our paediatric surgeons commonly operate on conditions such as congenital malformations, abdominal wall defects, chest wall deformities and childhood tumors.
