Work Experience

• He earned his Medical Degree from the Nishtar Medical University, Multan,PAKISTAN in 1999 and completed his Internship as well as Pediatric Residency at the Prestigious Institution “The Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi in 2005, before leaving Abroad in 2006 for higher Training in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) which is a Unique Subspeciality of Pediatrics dealing with sick Pediatric Patients in ICU. He has done PICU Fellowship training at St Christopher’s Hospital for Children/Drexel University Program, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
• He gained valuable PICU experience in different hospitals across the Middle East (KSA,OMAN,Libya) and Pakistan after his US training including King Fahad Medical City,Riyadh KSA, Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim, Armed Force Hospital Jeddah at the Full Consultant level. He achieved a Fellowship & Membership of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health from London, UK, and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland as well.HE has served Pakistan and Oman recently before moving to Zulekha Hospital Dubai.

Special Interests:

• Dr. Abid Rafiq Chaudhry, is a thoroughly trained Pediatric Intensivist with special interest in dealing with sick children admiited to PICU with different ailments including but not limited to Pneumonia,sepsis,asthma,cardiac,GI and renal issues and feel pleasure to help families to heal smoothly as well.
• Dr. Abid Rafiq Chaudhry has extensive Pediatric experience and a career spanning over twenty-four years including twenty years of rich experience in Pediatric Intensive Care/Pediatric Cardiac ICU . He is certified in Basic Life support, Pediatric Advanced Life support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as well as in ATLS (advanced trauma life support ) from the University of PENN, Philadelphia, PA, USA. He also has a certification in the Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support program by the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), USA.
