CHANCE TO CHANGE. EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIFE.
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer affecting thousands of women worldwide. Almost all cervical cancers are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), a common virus that can be passed from one person to another during intercourse. Cervical cancer often leads to death due to lack of awareness or ignorance. It is important for women in the age group of 25-65 years to have regular checkups in order to live a long and healthy life.
Cervical cancer is perhaps the only cancer that can be prevented in young adults through a vaccination. The HPV vaccine is given to young females while they are between 15 to 26 years of age as the immunogenicity of the vaccine is higher when administered at a younger age. It is important for every girl child to have the vaccine as early as possible in order to stay safe from cervical cancer. The vaccine is given once per lifetime, in 3 doses over a 6-month period.
Zulekha Healthcare Group is happy to announce 'Chance to Change' a cervical cancer awareness campaign to educate women about the symptoms, risks and prevention of the disease at an early stage. During this campaign, women can take advantage of free specialist consultations and Pap tests at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai and Sharjah. Remember, early detection and prevention saves lives

Our goal is to encourage women to have regular check-ups at their local clinic, at least every three to five years.
